AGM Battery

The term in the AGM Batteries (Absorbent Glass Mat) means absorbent fiberglass mesh. The electrolyte is absorbed in a fiberglass mesh between the plates by capillary action. The main features of AGM batteries are:

  • Low self-discharge, can be stored for long periods of time without recharging.

  • Low internal resistance, accept very high load and discharge currents. Large number of cycles: More than 2000 cycles at 30% discharge.

  • VRLA (Valve Regulated Lead-Acid Batteries; lead-acid batteries regulated by valves) therefore without maintenance or gas leakage.

  • AGM Batteries do not have maintenance.

What makes them ideal in applications of high current demand, such as starting engines and traction vehicles that need high current peaks: caravans, quads, jet skis, pallet trucks, golf carts, etc.
