    Description

Dual battery DR3210N-DDB MPPT Solar Controller 30A 12v/24v Dual battery output

The DuoRacer MPPT charge controller is designed to charge two batteries (shown as BATT1 and BATT2 below) at the same time in a solar system. This controller supports multiple life battery types (BATT1), including sealed, gel, flooded, LiFePO4 and Li-NiCoMn, which are suitable for RVs, motorhomes, boats, etc.

The device automatically recognizes the starting battery system voltage (BATT2) and trickle charges the battery when conditions are met. The controller adopts advanced MPPT control algorithm, which will minimize the maximum power point loss rate and loss time, also quickly track the maximum power point (MPP) of the PV array and obtain maximum power from the solar array in any condition.

Power utilization in MPPT solar system increases by 20-30% compared to PWM charging method. When there is no manual operation for a long time and the charging conditions cannot be reached, the controller will switch to low power mode, reducing battery power loss and waste to improve product life.

System parameters are displayed and set via LED/LCD or MT11 remote meter (accessory). The AES control signal of the car refrigerator is built into the controller, which will supply the surplus solar energy to the refrigerator to avoid energy waste. The controller comes with an IP33 protection level,

which is waterproof and dustproof. Multiple protection functions, including battery overcharge protection, over discharge protection and reverse connection protection of photovoltaic and battery, effectively guarantee the safety, stability and service life of the solar system. The controller will switch to low power mode, reducing battery power loss and waste to improve product life.

The Differences of PWM and MPPT Regulators

What solar regulator do I need depending on the type of solar panel?

Normal regulator (PWM): Whether you have 12V solar panels to use in an isolated (or autonomous) 12V solar installation, or if you have 24V solar panels and 72 cells to use in a 24V installation, you must use a normal regulator (type PWM). Which is the most economical and suitable for this type of solar panel.

Maximizing regulator (MPPT): If you have 24V solar panels and 60 cells (plates with a power greater than 200W), to use in a 24V isolated solar installation, you must use an MPPT maximizing regulator. Necessary to amplify the voltage of these solar panels, so that when it reaches the batteries it is high and the energy is stored well. The MPPT regulator is more expensive but is necessary with this type of plates. Which without the use of MPPT, the useful life of the batteries would be damaged since they could not be equalized and would sulfate in a few months.
